Fabian - Canyon Commuter

Fabian stopped by to have his bike custom outfitted with our Total Bike Security Set. This set protects everything on his bike against theft. Wheels, saddle, stem and handlebar - everything!

Michael - Custom build eBike

This is something really special!
Michael @sick.sinus stopped by the Hexlox office with his custom build LongSeat eBike Cruiser - of his own design. This project was 1 year in the making but now he is finally finished and off on a bike-packing-surfing trip to the Spanish Atlantic coast.

This is how Michael describes his surfing trip:

"I’m in the water surfing almost every day and that’s the reason for this bike. It’s made for surfing trips along the Atlantic coast. The idea is that we don’t want to use the car so much when we hunt for the next wave, or make day trips to the city, beach, or supermarket, but instead use this bike. The range of the bike is between 20 to 50km. So it’s enough for the daily requirements to charge it overnight through our solar system.

In Berlin, where I live, it’s perfect to transport groceries, tools, or my fun box for the next park session. With the rack quick-adapter from AtranVelo, you can change from a normal basket to a sports bag or universal plate to mount tool boxes. Besides all this, it’s just really fun to ride. Speed - Up to 50 km/h and 25 km/h in the road-restricted mode."

Linda @skittles_tigger swung by Hexlox for some fitting on her custom build bike packing/touring bike. This green beauty sports Novatec Hubs @novatecwheels and Ryde rims. Bike parts protected by Hexlox, of course

 

 

Valentin - Aventon Cordoba 

Valentine, with his Aventon Cordoba @AventonBikes came by the Hexlox office the other day. Saddle & Seatpost and both wheels secured with Hexlox.

 

 

 

 

Benni - Ozone Cyclery Custom Bamboo Cargo Bike

Longtime friend of Hexlox, Benni visited us to have his custom-built Bamboo Cargo Bike (check out @ozoncyclery for more on how to build your own) outfitted with a few Hexlox products.
Benni’s cargo bike comes with the clean and silent Gates Carbon Drive, a Brooks C15 saddle and Continental Contact Speed tires. (Sadly, he also had to install a hidden GPS tracker in the frame ever since his mini-cargo bike got stolen) 

Ozon Cyclery offers a library of exclusive bicycle designs that have been tested and proven. Each design is thoroughly defined down to the millimeter with detailed step-by-step technical drawings. These drawings can be used for your personal project, and Ozone Cyclery strongly encourage you to teach workshops to spread the art of bamboo bicycle building to your community. All proceeds from the downloads of their geometry drawings go directly to developing and testing new bicycle designs. 

 

 

 

Niko - Cowboy 1 

Niko @nikoot stopped by for a custom modification on his Cowboy 1  @cowboy_bikes Niko has virtually everything protected with Hexlox - Front Wheel, Seat post & Seat, Stem, Hand Brakes. There are also a few cool third-party add-ons such as the TagLock by Kokox Design @kokox_design (holding the Apple Airtag in place under the saddle)  The Cowboy also sports a Texlock @texlock for locking the frame.

Susie - Kotter Albuch

Here, Susie and her gorgeous Kotter Albuch outfitted with our Total Bike Security Set which protects everything on her bike against theft. Wheels, saddle, stem and handlebar - everything!

For you bike aficionados some background on the now defunct German frame maker. In 1983, Konrad Kotter founded the Albuch bicycle factory in Böhmenkirch, building expensive racing bikes as well as touring, trekking and mountain bikes. All marketed under the “Kotter” trademark. Before Albuch Kotter made frames himself, the company sold Italian frames from the manufacturers Romani and Pistrada under the name "Kondor". The company imported the frames and set them up in a factory in Schechingen but faced with the pressure from cheaper manufacturing processes Kotter ceased production and closed down operations in 2001.

If you do a double-take on the basket your eyes are not deceiving you, it's Cordura, custom sewn by Frank himself.

Triobike is known in the industry as a truly innovative bike company and their Trio Lab consistently produces some wonderful and sometimes wacky cargo bikes.
