How it works

The Hexnut replaces your conventional nut. Its rotating outer ring prevents access with tools as long as a Hexlox 6mm insert is inserted inside. This can only be removed with a matching Hexlox key with an identical code. This protects your front wheel, rear wheel, or eBike motor axle – without the need for an additional lock or bulky tools.

How it works:

1. Remove current mother

Question: How do I find the right hex nut size?
 

Answer:

Front wheel -Most front wheels use M9 (9mm axle diameter). If your front wheel nut also fits your rear wheel, or if it's a VanMoof, Miche, or DuraAce, use M10 (10mm).

Question: Is the theft protection active immediately?
Answer:Yes – once the Hexlox 6mm insert and the appropriate key are inserted, the hex nut is protected against common tools.

Question: Does the Hexnut also work without a Hexlox insert?
Answer:Without the Hexlox insert, the Hexnut does not offer complete protection; only in combination with a Hexlox insert is the protection active.

Question: Which color should I choose?
Answer:It's a matter of taste—technically, there's no difference. Choose between silver and black (available depending on size).

Question: Is Hexlox safe?
Answer:No system is completely secure, but Hexlox reliably protects against spontaneous thefts by opportunistic thieves. The freely rotating ring and magnetic protection make it very difficult for attackers. Security works best in combination – for example, with a good frame lock.
