Not sure what you need?
The world of bicycle parts and sizes is often confusing—a veritable jungle of different standards and measurement systems. It's easy to feel like you need to be a tech expert or cycling enthusiast to find the right parts. Many people feel overwhelmed by this complexity—and we at Hexlox understand that. Our goal is to make selecting and protecting your bicycle parts as easy as possible. That's why we developed the Product Finder , which helps you when you're stuck. Because cycling should be fun—not a headache.

Saddle with hex bolt
Most saddles on modern bicycles are secured with one or two hex bolts. Hex bolts are tightened with a hexagonal tool—an Allen key.

Wheels with quick release (QR)
Do your wheels have quick releases? Quick releases are thin (5 mm) and always have a movable lever that holds the wheels in place. Quick release is very common on bikes.

Wheels with thru axles
Thru axles are much thicker (9–20 mm) than quick release skewers. They may have a lever—but not always. Most eBikes use thru axles. Thru axles are becoming the new standard axle on bicycles.

Wheels with nuts
Wheel nuts come in all shapes and sizes. They're always tightened with a wrench – the classic way. If you ride a fixed-gear bike or single-speed, or have a Shimano hub, you almost certainly have wheel nuts on your wheels.
