    How it works

    The Hexnut replaces your conventional nut. Its rotating outer ring prevents access with tools as long as a Hexlox Insert 6mm is placed inside. The insert can only be removed with a matching Hexlox Key with an identical key code. This protects your front wheel, rear wheel, or eBike motor axle.

    2. Install the Hexnut
    3. Add Hexlox 6mm insert + key – done!

    Description

    The Mahle X35 security set was specially developed for bicycles with a Mahle drive system – from commuters to MTB’s to cargo bikes. Simply replace your existing axle nut, insert the Hexlox 6 mm, and your wheel is protected against unauthorized removal.

    The key feature: the freely rotating security ring prevents access with tools such as pliers or wrenches – and all of this without an additional lock. Precision manufacturing and the use of stainless steel ensure maximum durability, even in wet conditions, dirt, and winter weather.

    Question: Is the theft protection active immediately?
     Answer: Yes – once the Hexlox 6mm insert and the appropriate key are inserted, the hex nut is protected against common tools.

    Question: Does the Hexnut also work without a Hexlox insert?
     Answer: Without the Hexlox insert, the Hexnut does not offer complete protection; only in combination with a Hexlox Insert is the protection active.

    Question: Is Hexlox safe?
     Answer: The Hexlox System significantly increases the security of your bike parts. No lock is completely secure, but Hexlox reliably protects against spontaneous thefts by opportunistic thieves. The freely rotating ring make it very difficult for attackers.
