Legal Guarantee

Last updated: September 28, 2026

At Hexlox, we want you to be clearly and transparently informed about your rights as a consumer. All products purchased in our shop are covered by the statutory warranty (also known as liability for defects). It applies automatically, free of charge, and EU-wide – independent of any additional manufacturer's guarantee that may apply to individual Hexlox products.

  • Min. 2 years from date of delivery
  • Always free for you as the buyer
  • Valid EU-wide regardless of the country of delivery

What does this mean for you?

If a product does not match the agreed condition upon delivery or does not function as intended, you are entitled to free remedial performance – meaning repair or replacement. If the defect appears within the first twelve months after delivery, it is legally presumed to have already existed at the time of handover; during this period, the burden of proof lies with us. If the remedial performance fails or is unreasonable, you may choose to reduce the purchase price, withdraw from the contract, or claim damages.

Statutory warranty is not the same as a guarantee

The statutory warranty arises automatically with every purchase and applies against us as the seller. A guarantee, on the other hand, is a voluntary, additional promise – for example, from a manufacturer – with its own terms and duration. If Hexlox grants a separate manufacturer's guarantee on a product, you'll find the details on the relevant product page or in the enclosed guarantee card; it exists in addition to, and independently of, your statutory rights.

How to proceed in case of a defect

  1. Report the defect Describe the problem as soon as possible via our contact form or by email, and include a photo or video if possible.
  2. Have your proof of purchase ready An invoice, order confirmation, or bank statement is sufficient as proof of purchase from Hexlox.
  3. Receive a resolution Depending on the case, you'll receive a repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund.

Official EU notice on the statutory warranty

As of September 27, 2026, online retailers in the EU are required, under Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960, to display the EU-wide standardized notice on the statutory warranty provided by the European Commission. This graphic is standardized and its content may not be altered; the QR code to the "Your Europe" portal is already permanently embedded in the graphic.
